This holiday season, treat yourself to an unforgettable hotel getaway. These accommodations are exquisite any time of year, but when December comes around, these inviting spaces are filled with creativity and personalized touches that capture a certain magic.
From Christmas trees adorned with custom ornaments to a Whoville-inspired hideaway, these four specialty suites earn a spot at the top of our wish list.
The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad
Manhattan has a special glow this time of year. Four-Star Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad’s Grand Holiday Suite embodies this enchantment. Until January 2, guests can bask in a stay filled with coziness, couture and culture, highlighted by a performance of the iconic Nutcracker stage production.
The memorable experience begins in the luxurious suite, elegantly decorated by FLOWERBX with an artful, ballet-inspired Christmas tree as the centerpiece. For your big night out at the ballet, New York designers Jennifer Behr and Patricia Voto, founders of the fashion brand ONE OF, provide custom outfits tailored for each guest.
Once everyone is all dolled up, guests will head to Lincoln Center, where they will receive backstage passes and have the opportunity for a meet-and-greet following the performance. The evening ends with a merry nightcap at Bazaar Bar by José Andrés.

Hotel Washington
Unlike the lead character in Dr. Seuss’ beloved tale, Hotel Washington wholeheartedly embraces the holiday spirit with its Whoville Hideout. Until December 26, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into the pages of How the Grinch Stole Christmas when staying in this festive accommodation filled with themed linens on two queen beds, slippers featuring the Grinch’s mischievous smile, a Cindy Lou Who-approved tree and a curated selection of classic holiday DVDs and picture books — perfect companions for cocoa or spiked eggnog served in a keepsake mug.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando
For those who want a quintessential holiday celebration without the chilly winter weather, Four-Star Waldorf Astoria Orlando offers its Holiday Haven and Nutcracker suites.
Families will find the Holiday Haven a sweet stay, with its two queen beds, cookie decorating kit and a special turndown amenity filled with cheer.
The beautifully decorated Nutcracker Suite blends the magic of the holiday season with the excitement of the theater. On performance nights, guests receive preferred tickets to The Nutcracker by the Orlando Ballet, pre-show champagne and artisanal cheese at Peacock Alley, plus a souvenir poster signed by cast members.
Both options include a daily breakfast for two at Oscar’s and a private cabana experience where you’re the star of the show.

Lotte New York Palace
Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Lotte New York Palace has partnered with the luxury Christmas tree artisans at Balsam Hill to help you feel at home this holiday season. Through January 6, guests can enjoy one of the New York City hotel’s four suites, each transformed into a winter wonderland with unique touches: the elegant, all-white Arctic Forest with woodsy accents; the cozy, Scandinavian-inspired Nordic; the opulent, chateau-style Parisian Palace; and the radiant, jewel-toned Golden Glow.
Upon arrival at any of the suites, you’ll be welcomed with a warm plate of housemade cookies and a beautifully decorated Balsam Hill tree. Each unit also features a pull-out sofa and a king-sized bed, making them an ideal choice for families celebrating together. To commemorate their stay, guests receive a custom ornament as a keepsake.
