We recently spent time at Monaco’s famed Casino de Monte-Carlo, where gold adorns every ornate corner and tuxedoed staff stands guard at the entryway to the private gambling salons. In those exclusive rooms, we found high rollers sitting under crystal chandeliers and joining in the thrilling high-stakes games.
But these whales get VIP treatment that goes far beyond the blackjack table. In casino hotels, these guests get to stay in the most over-the-top accommodations with amenities you can’t find anywhere else. Our Forbes Travel Guide editors scoured casino hotels throughout the globe to find high-roller suites with glitz and perks galore.
Sky Tower at Solaire Resort and Casino, Chairman’s Villa and Suite
This Manila hotel keeps these accommodations under wraps — you won’t find them listed on its website. VIP gamers who are flown in via private jet frequently book the villa (located in the Bay Tower), which comes with its own private pool and butler service.
We favor the Sky Tower, where you can take advantage of more VIP gaming areas, along with a Chinese restaurant and whisky and cigar bar for high-rolling gamers. Perched on the Sky Tower’s top floor, the sleek Chairman’s Suite lets you drink in vistas of Manila Bay from your own outdoor Jacuzzi.
Mohegan Sun’s Royal Suite
The top-tier accommodations at this Uncasville, Connecticut, playground, the Royal Suite is awash in extras — the 3,500-square-foot escape comes with a Kohler Jacuzzi, kitchen and unforgettable panoramic views of the Thames River. And, no, you weren’t dreaming about seeing the unit somewhere before; the Royal Suite did play a cameo in an episode of The Bachelorette last season.
M Resort Spa Casino’s Loft Suite
Flee the Strip to avoid the throngs of partiers and take in neon-filled Vegas skyline views from this two-story loft. The Four-Star hotel creates a quiet retreat with its own private entrance and adds details like a stone and glass staircase in one of the two living areas and those glittering 270-degree vistas from the suite’s floor-to-ceiling windows.
MGM Macau’s Villa
Looking around one of the impressive villas at Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star MGM Macau, you’d think that the polished space just finished serving as a set for a photo shoot for an architectural magazine. But that probably has as much to do with the gold-speckled wallpaper as it does the Saint-Louis chandelier hanging above the bed.
Encore Tower Suites’ Three Bedroom Duplex
You’ll hit the jackpot with this Five-Star hotel’s sumptuous duplex. The 5,829-square-foot space comes with hard-to-come-by amenities like a billiard room and a private massage and exercise room surrounded by floor-to-ceiling views of Las Vegas. The amenities are unbeatable: butler service; a daily cabana at the Tower Suite pool; priority reservations at Wynn’s golf course, restaurants, spas and salons; expedited nightclub entry; limo service to and from the airport; and one rear orchestra ticket to Steve Wynn’s Broadway-style ShowStoppers during your stay.
Viejas Casino & Resort’s Penthouse Suite
Numbers, of course, play a major function in casinos, and that’s no different at this Alpine, California, winner. The 2,000-square-foot Penthouse Suite offers two lavish bedrooms, a media room with a 90-inch HDTV and a balcony overlooking the rolling hills with so many potential selfie spots that we stopped counting.
The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino’s Penthouse Suite
Tucked on the three highest floors of the massive Four-Star hotel, the Penthouse Suite impresses the minute you enter the Italian marble foyer. While the master bedroom comes with a fireplace, our favorite place to relax is in the two marble bathrooms outfitted with 200-square-foot jetted hot tubs. Another contender is the workout room with its own cedar-wood sauna.
River Rock Casino Resort’s Presidential Suite
The top accommodations at this Forbes Travel Guide Recommended hotel outside of Vancouver draws inspiration from nature. Not only will you spy a starry ceiling, a stone fireplace and timber columns in the 2,800-square-foot suite, but you’ll also get to appreciate panoramas of the city, mountains, marina and Fraser River from your own wraparound deck. But it’s not too rustic — you’ll cozy up on a custom bed woven with cashmere.
Ho Tram Resort Casino Vietnam’s Premier Ocean View Suite
Venture 2.5 hours outside of Ho Chi Minh City to play at this casino hotel. But be forewarned: You’ll have a hard time prying yourself from the contemporary suite’s white double couches to gamble, especially when you’re surrounded by tip-to-toe windows overlooking beautiful Ho Tram beach. Hardwood floors, marbled-covered bathrooms and upgraded kitchen appliances (a full-size refrigerator and microwave) make the space even more inviting.
