Prepared to show off your culinary capabilities to renowned chefs? Then bring your best side dish or dessert to share at Stir the Pot’s old-fashioned potluck dinner, co-hosted by executive chef Tyler Brown of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Capitol Grille in Nashville. Brown and chef Tandy Wilson of Nashville’s City House will fill out the menu by providing the main course and drinks at the nearby Corsair Taproom on September 17 from 6 to 9 p.m.
If having your dishes sampled by chefs and other diners isn’t your fare, let Brown and Wilson handle all of the cooking duties. The two will be joined by Los Angeles chefs Jon Shook of Animal and Vinny Dotolo of Son of a Gun for a special Stir the Pot five-course dinner with wine pairings on September 16 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Capitol Grille, located at The Hermitage Hotel, the only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel in Tennessee.
Both events are fund-raisers for Southern Foodways Alliance, a member-supported organization based at the University of Mississippi that preserves and celebrates Southern food culture. The September 16 dinner costs $150 and the potluck is $35. Tickets can be purchased online.
