For many travelers, weekend brunch isn’t a mere meal, it’s a rite of passage. Whether you’re staying close to home or on a quick getaway, check out our favorite Forbes Travel Guide star-rated brunch hot spots this weekend.
Mandarin Oriental Boston’s Four-Star restaurant Asana serves elevated breakfast and lunch classics in line with the sophisticated vibe — French toast is made with brioche bread and served with bourbon peaches and the poached egg is accompanied by Main lobster hash. Worth a drive to the rural town of Washington outside of Dallas, the Inn at Dos Brisas’s Five-Star namesake restaurant features haute brunch cuisine such as omelets made with burrata and black truffle, and a milk chocolate donut served with espresso gelato and whipped goat milk.
You may come for the see-and-be-seen factor at Montage Beverly Hills’ Four-Star Scarpetta, but you’ll want to stay for the all-you-can-eat, over-the-top brunch spread, which includes a dizzying amount of high-end pastries, a raw bar, house-made pasta, an eggs station and (our favorite) bottomless Bloody Marys. And if you’re looking for a grand spot with an old-school vibe, head to Peacock Alley inside the Waldorf Astoria New York for several food displays with lobster eggs Benedict, caviar, omelets and over 100 desserts. Since it’s not offered during the summer, now is the time to indulge in brunch at the venerable Manhattan hotel.
