We recently took a trip to Devon, England, and made it a point to visit the beach of Saunton Sands. This spot is famous for longboard surfers because of its long beach and slow walls, some even call it Britain’s answer to Waikiki. The scenic English shore has a history, too—it’s where the British military practiced D-Day landings during World War II. The beach may look familiar—it did to us—as it has been in a handful of films such as Stairway to Heaven and Pink Floyd’s, The Wall.
