We made a pit stop at the charming Greek island of Santorini while cruising through the Mediterranean. Since our massive cruise boat was too big to pull up to the island, our crew parked in the middle of the sea and we hopped on a tiny speed boat that took us to the base of Santorini. From there, we had two options to get to the top of the cliff-side town: elevator or donkey (clearly, we chose the donkey). After a slow, rocky and fairly comical donkey ride up the winding roads, we reached the main drag of Santorini, where we were met with kitschy stores, quiet cafes and those famous white-and-blue stone buildings. After spending the day popping in and out of the shops, we wrapped things up with a sunset meal at a restaurant overlooking the bright blue sea.
