Loews Atlanta Hotel Rolls Up Its Sleeves For Two Barbecues

We think a barbecue is the perfect way to wrap up the sweet summer months. Apparently, Loews Atlanta Hotel agrees because, this entire month of August, the property’s restaurant, Eleven, is continuing its Summer Nights Buffet program with a variety of barbecue-tinged menus. For the next two Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., join the city’s fellow grill enthusiasts at this chic, modern eatery for some inspired twists on your favorite summertime classics.

FTG-Dropin-BBQ-CreditLoewsAtlantaWhile the menus for the August 7 and 14 centered around Southern and French barbecue styles respectively, the culinary lineup for August 21 is a feast built for a cowboy that starts with Texas ranch caesar salad topped with crunchy Fritos, served aside deviled eggs dusted with smoked paprika. The buffet continues with the main course options of hearty Texas baby back ribs and smoked beef brisket. Those items are served alongside country cookout staples such as barbecue beans, cole slaw and potato salad because Eleven’s executive chef Oliver Gaupin knows that no Texas-sized spread is complete without these mouth-watering sides. And to top off the evening, a decidedly Southern peach cobbler à la mode is served.

But if all of that finger-licking goodness weren’t enough for Atlanta’s hickory-smoked fix, feast on the flavors of Eleven’s August 28 Asian barbecue menu for a cultural spin on the American pastime. The starter, an Asian chopped salad topped with sesame vinaigrette, will prepare your palate for the savory shrimp pot stickers with curry dipping sauce and enticing red miso soup loaded with fresh scallions and Asian meat balls. Crispy, golden brown Peking duck, served with steamed baby bock Choy, is next in line. Korean baby back ribs, marinated in a garlicky soy concoction, and fried rice with peas round out the dinner portion of the meal, paving the way for the grand finale: a sweet, yet refined mango sticky rice pudding.
