New Orleans Jazz Fest 2012 Survival Guide
      By Forbes Travel Guide Inspector

      April 19, 2012

One of The Big Easy’s greatest traditions is just around the corner—the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival. Running from April 27 to May 6, this popular event features a long line of musical acts—Herbie Hancock, Bruce Springsteen, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are among the performers—plus more than 70 food booths from local and regional restaurants (think jambalaya and crawfish). Before you take on the crowds, check out our tips on Forbes.com on how to make the most of this year’s festival.
