Wailea Tennis Club is partnering with Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea for a tennis event of epic proportions. Bringing together tennis superstars from today and years ago, the club is offering guests a chance to learn from and play with these greats in a special fantasy camp that runs today through Sunday.
Tennis stars headlining the festivities include Lindsay Davenport, a former world No. 1 in singles and doubles and a three-time Grand Slam singles champion; Taylor Dent, who reached No. 21 in the world and was an Olympics semifinalist in 2004; Melanie Oudin, a recent tour darling who reached the 2009 U.S. Open quarterfinals at the age of 17 and also won the 2011 U.S. Open mixed doubles title; and Tracy Austin, a United States Tennis Association national coach and Tennis Channel commentator who has won two U.S. Open singles titles.
In its sixth year, the camp includes four days’ play time and instruction from the aforementioned pros, singles and doubles exhibition matches, four nights at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, a welcome reception and an awards luau. The good news for latecomers: hotel guests are welcome to join the clinics as drop-ins at a rate of $425 per day.
