Atlanta foodies who shed a few tears when The Dining Room at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead served its last dinner more than four years ago have reason to rejoice — for a few days anyway. Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead is hosting a pop-up of its former restaurant Feb. 14-16 in honor of Valentine’s Day.
Before closing its doors in 2009, The Dining Room was the only restaurant in the Southeast with the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating, and legendary chefs Guenter Seeger, Joël Antunes and Arnaud Berthelier all served stints as executive chef of its kitchen.
The hotel’s current executive chef Franck Steigerwald, who joined the hotel last year, now has his chance to wow Atlanta with a four-course seated dinner worthy of The Dining Room. Steigerwald’s menu includes beef tartar with black truffle; hand-rolled potato and ricotta gnocchi with squab breast with lavender sauce; seared veal loin with brown butter and osso bucco ravioli; and a selection of desserts. Sommelier Linda Torres Alarcon will pair wines from The Dining Room’s wine cellar with each course.
The Valentine’s Dinner is offered Feb. 14 through Feb. 16 for $99 per person ($159 with wine pairings). Seatings will be available by reservation from 5:30 until 9:30.
