Three Hotel Anniversaries You Should Celebrate

Late summer 2014 is a cause for celebration in and of itself, but three luxury hotel brands in particular are showing you exactly how it should be done:

      The Langham Huntington, Pasadena

This gorgeous Pasadena treasure is celebrating its centennial anniversary with luxury retreat packages, gilded specialty drinks and guided tours. The Hollywood getaway hotel that’s hidden on a quiet street offers 23 acres that include amazing gardens and a gorgeous pool, the perfect setting for a period piece or a surprise engagement. In honor of its birthday, the Langham Huntington charms with its Celebrate a Century promotion that involves overnight accommodations, a $100 resort credit per night, historic map of the property and fabulous cocktails in The Tap Room. You will also want to salute cent’anni with The Royce | Wood-Fired Steakhouse’s couple’s menu of oysters and Perrier-Jouët champagne, or maybe you’ll just spend the weekend hanging out in the newly opened 11,000-square-foot Chuan Spa. The spa’s menu includes signature treatments inspired by traditional Chinese medicine as well as innovative skincare lines such as Kerstin Florian and Priori. Turning 100 has never looked so beautiful.

      The Rittenhouse

Philadelphia’s classic hotel celebrates 25 years on Rittenhouse Square. The 116-room Four-Star property overlooking one of the city’s oldest parks just finished a $10-million revitalization, so heading over to the sophisticated Library Bar to toast with a special cocktail or even staying overnight through the 25th Anniversary package (spacious king city view room, complimentary wi-fi and overnight shoe shine) is probably in order. At the same time, Lacroix at The Rittenhouse, the hotel’s luminous parkside Four-Star restaurant, shines with a Sparkling Lunch, a commemorative prix fixe three-course meal (think salmon tartare with lemongrass and English peas, and Maine scallops with emmer berry, asparagus and apricot) paired with savory wines. Savvy sippers will delight in an enhanced afternoon tea service at the Mary Cassatt Tea Room, and pint-sized guests will receive newly minted 2014 quarters upon check-in along with the opportunity to pick a surprise gift from The Rittenhouse toy treasure chest.

The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta and The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead
Two Ritz-Carlton properties in Georgia hit the 30-year milestone this year and are sharing the celebration with dashing weekend deals that include deluxe accommodations, champagne, chocolate-dipped strawberries (at the Buckhead location) and rose petal turndowns. Beyond these spoils, the Four-Star Ritz-Carlton Atlanta’s anniversary package also impresses with a three-course dinner and wine pairing for two at Atlanta Grill. A little further down Peachtree Street in Buckhead, you can raise the revelry bar even higher with the extraordinary Celebration of a Lifetime package. This includes a luxurious weekend at the Four-Star stunner filled with a stay in its 1,800-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Suite, a private chef-prepared in-room meal, 30 long-stem ivory roses, monogrammed robes and much more.
