No name carries more weight in the culinary world than that of James Beard. The legendary chef and cookbook author rose from humble beginnings as a caterer in New York City in the late 1930s to become one of the leading voices of the American food landscape. On May 5, the James Beard Foundation Awards were held at New York City’s Lincoln Center to honor those talents who continue to shape the landscape. Our Forbes Travel Guide team is proud to announce that among the elite group of winners recognized, several are a part of the FTG family as Tastemakers or chefs and owners of Star-Rated restaurants.
