While Atlanta is certainly a world-class city, no matter what time of year you decide to visit, it can be stressful. Come in spring, it’s the pollen. Venture there in the summer, it’s the heat. Stop by any other time, it’s the grueling traffic. Thankfully though, the Georgia capital counters those worries with exhilarating spas all around town.

Visit these spas when you need a break:

      Remède Spa Atlanta
Tucked on the sixth floor of The St. Regis Atlanta, this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa offers 10 spacious treatment rooms in tony Buckhead. It does everything from micro-exfoliating pedicures to facials that will include a skin analysis and a customized regimen with Remède’s excellent products.

Not too far from Remède is this palace of pampering. The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead dedicated its ninth floor to wellness — not only you will find the Four-Star spa there, but a relaxation lounge, an indoor saline pool, overnight spa rooms and suites that come with good-for-you perks like yoga equipment, spin bikes, stand-up desks and meditation corners.

If you need an escape from the city and can make your way through I-20 congestion, you’ll discover this serenity-filled lakeside spa. It’s a place where straight-edge shaves come with a taste of bourbon and wraps use antioxidant-rich Southern sweet tea. The relaxation happens about 70 miles away from Atlanta’s anxieties.
