Whether or not you consider yourself a foodie, you’ve likely heard of the James Beard Foundation Awards. This year’s “Oscars of the food world” were presented on May 4 and in Chicago for the first time. (It was a major coup for the food-centric city, which lured the ceremony from its long-time home in New York.)
