3 Relaxing Reasons To Escape To Miami Right Now

With picture-perfect oceanfront views and grand amenities, Acqualina Spa by ESPA at Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles, Florida, is the quintessential luxury destination for locals and world travelers seeking a tranquil escape to paradise. The 20,000-square-foot Five-Star spa delivers sumptuous services employing essential oils tailored to your every desire. A day here is a journey to bliss. You’ll find pampering at every turn: 11 multi-functional treatment rooms; an extravagant private spa suite for two; a beautiful terrace with spa pool and a Roman waterfall; and a dry-heat Finnish sauna. After a recent visit, though, we encountered even more about the sanctuary that we loved. Here are three new aaah-inspiring aspects we’re most excited about.

      Seasonal Massages
Even though ESPA’s spring Renew massage ended in May, we’re still feeling the positive effects of the exfoliating grapefruit and detoxifying seaweed. As for this summer’s Refresh (available June to September 30), it includes dry brushing and a cooling massage using essential oils containing rosemary and peppermint, and aloe to cool your sun-kissed skin. If you’re planning to travel to Miami the second part of the year, keep an eye out for fall’s Restore (October through November) and winter’s Relax (December 2015 to February 2016) treatments.

      Private Spa Suite
A stop into ESPA’s Private Spa Suite is a must for any couple, friends or family wanting a personalized retreat. You’ll start with a consultation from an ESPA therapist who will customize your treatment, which may include a full-body exfoliation, body wrap, massage and facial all tailored to your skin’s needs. The suite includes a mother-of-pearl steam room and rainforest dual shower, and two beds placed before an ocean-view balcony and a Zen meditative area for manicures and pedicures. If you book the space for three or more hours (which we suggest you do), you’ll get a healthy spa lunch on the sun deck, too. Couples can also reserve the suite at night for even more romance between all of the relaxing.

      Orange Blossom
Orange Blossom, ESPA’s most unusual treatment and among the most popular, is an out-of-this-world experience that lasts nearly two hours. The muscle-relaxing journey starts with a welcoming foot ritual, followed by an ESPA salt and oil scrub and a warm herbal poultice pressure point massage, and ends with a refreshing scalp massage. Incorporated ingredients for teas and scrubs come from the orange family known to nourish and regenerate tired, dull skin, so you’ll leave glowing. And if you dream of recapturing the radiance in your own bathroom, you’re in luck — each guest receives the herbal poultice to take home.
