Save for a few months of the year when the temperature drops, Taipei is often hot and humid. The best cure for cooling down after sightseeing is an outdoor dip. These three hotels in central Taipei have rooftop pools with great views so, night or day, you can gaze out at the city’s glittering skyline.

      Grand Hyatt Taipei
Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Grand Hyatt Taipei is in Xinyi District, a short walk from Taipei 101 and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. The fifth-floor heated outdoor pools are oases from the busy street below. Trees and plants enclose the entire area, giving the illusion of a lush paradise in the heart of the city.

There’s a large pool for adults and a smaller one for children, with plenty of cushioned lounge chairs and cabanas providing a comfortable place to rest in between laps.

From the Pool Bar come tropical cocktails and mocktails alongside sandwiches, salads and snacks like chips with guacamole and salsa. If swimming isn’t workout enough, the luxury hotel holds yoga, Pilates and tai chi classes not far from the water.

      Humble House Taipei
Humble House Taipei, a Forbes Travel Guide Recommended hotel, is also in Xinyi District, right off the Taipei City Hall metro station. The property is centrally located to Taipei 101 and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, an arts and culture hub.

The Humble House pool occupies the seventh floor, presenting one of the best possible vistas of Taipei 101, which towers over the pool and is especially pretty at night. Although trendy Humble House doesn’t have a kid’s area, the pool is under four feet deep, making it safe for younger swimmers. The heated outdoor pool is open April through November.

This Da’an District hotel’s pool literally stands above the rest. The Four-Star jewel’s rooftop attraction is all the way up on the 43rd floor, offering sweeping panoramas of the surrounding cityscape.

The temperature-controlled pool is open year-round, so there’s no time limit on enjoying the view. If the rooftop Jacuzzi doesn’t offer enough decompression for you, venture down to the 40th floor to check out Qi Shiseido Salon and Spa’s extensive menu of massages.
