There are few things like a flute of champagne that can create an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication, whether you’re toasting a special occasion or taking a moment to treat yourself at the end of a long day.

If you’re looking for an excellent excuse to enjoy some bubbly, here are five ways to celebrate with champagne in luxurious style.

      The St. Regis’ Evening Rituals

In keeping with the traditions of Napoleon Bonaparte — the French military leader reportedly celebrated both victory and defeat with champagne — St. Regis hotels around the world bid adieu to the day with a signature Evening Ritual at sunset that comes complete with a sparkling wine.

Whether visiting The St. Regis Shanghai Jingan, The St. Regis Doha, the recently opened The St. Regis Toronto or any other participating property, you can experience the festive tradition of sabrage — where someone opens a bottle of champagne with a saber — and, of course, the hotels pass around glasses afterward.

This Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star retreat in the exclusive enclave of Manalapan, Florida, is all about indulgence, from the gratis glass of champagne at check-in to the complimentary bubbles during Lobby Turndown.

If you’re heading for the sublime Five-Star spa, be sure to grab champagne and cupcakes before your “self-centered” massage. Relaxing at the adults-only Tranquility Pool on a Saturday afternoon? Flag down a champagne butler and have your sparkling sip delivered via surfboard.

Ocean views and epic sunsets are just a few reasons why Bay Area locals and visitors alike flock to this Four-Star clifftop stay roughly 30 miles from San Francisco. From weddings and large family get-togethers to important client meetings, you can make a real splash by elevating cocktail hour to new heights with Champagne Tower Hour.

The experience features an impressive, Instagram-worthy spire of glasses with sparkling wine cascading from the top, but the best part is savoring the free-flowing bubbles for a full 60 minutes.

Enjoy some seasonal rejuvenation at this Destin retreat’s Salamander Spa with the Lavender Champagne Ritual (available through May 31).

The journey to relaxation begins with a lavender-infused effervescent cocktail to help you decompress before indulging in a floral-inspired treatment. Opt for the Lavender Dreams Massage & Wrap to bask in a customized mineral scrub and hot stone rubdown, or go for the Lavender Essentials Facial to receive a refreshing peel. Either way, you’ll be sure to leave feeling invigorated from head to toe.

Raise a glass of Taittinger Champagne the next time you’re in Hungary’s capital city. Every evening at 6 p.m., The Living Room, the Four-Star beauty’s stylish, coffeehouse-inspired space, welcomes you to “Ignite the Night.” Here, you’ll find lit fireplaces and dim lighting, creating a relaxing, end-of-day atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Being sabered and poured while you unwind are three varieties of Taittinger: the Taittinger Brut Reserve; Taittinger Prestige Rosé; and the limited Taittinger Les Folies de la Marquetterie.
