5 Of The Tastiest Margaritas Around Miami

Nothing says summertime quite like a margarita. Frozen, fruity or on the rocks, the cocktails in Miami are worth toasting to, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do with this rundown of five of the most refreshingly innovative drinks around.

Cantina Beach Margarita, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami
The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami offers not only one of the city’s best luxury resort stays, but also serves some of its finest margaritas. We like the classic Cantina Beach Margarita, made with Cantina’s own Herradura Double Barrel Reposado, Cointreau, sour mix, a float of Chambord, and served with a sugar rim on the rocks and a splash of spectacular beach views on the side.

      Oceanfront, Loews Miami Beach Hotel
Located inside the Four-Star Loews Miami Beach Hotel, Lure Fishbar is known for its fresh fish and superior service — and bar director Robert Ferrara, who mixes up spectacular spirits. His spin on the standard margarita, Oceanfront, takes Olmeca Altos Plata tequila and mixes it with fresh pineapple, cilantro, lime, Chesapeake Bay bitters, Dr. Brown’s Cel-Ray soda and cracked black pepper for a delicious way to unwind at the end of the day.

      The Margaret, SOHO Bay
At the newly opened SOHO Bay on Miami Beach, the “Margaret” has become a big hit. Literally served in a hollowed-out red bell pepper, the creative cocktail is crafted with Avion añejo tequila, Cointreau, fresh limes, passion fruit and house-made Thai chili syrup. The Margaret is the ideal balance of tart and sweet. Savor all of its flavors by taking a seat outside on the patio and enjoying the sunset views over the Miami skyline.

      PaletaRita, Coyo Taco
Tucked away in the up-and-coming Wynwood neighborhood is Coyo Taco. Don’t let its fast-casual appearance fool you. Hidden behind Miami’s newest hot taqueria, you’ll find a secret lounge shaking up the cocktail scene with more than 50 bottles of tequila and mescal. Our favorite is the PaletaRita, made with one of Coyo’s refreshing paletas. The PaletaRita comes in flavors like a chili cucumber that’s rimmed with chili salt.

Pasteque y Menta, Jugofresh Juice Bar
The breakout star on Jugofresh’s new summer lineup at its recently opened Coral Gables location is the Pasteque y Menta. This bright pink beverage’s simple blend of freshly pressed watermelon and mint juice makes for a perfect alternative for those looking for a non-alcoholic answer to easing the summer heat.
