Some of the most lauded hotels in the world are in a celebratory mood after receiving their 2018 Forbes Travel Guide stars in February — so much so, they are offering fun, perk-filled packages that allow you to sample the Four- and Five-Star experiences for yourself.
Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve
Tucked away on an unbelievable stretch of sand in Puerto Rico near San Juan, this Five-Star is a tropical luxury retreat that dreams are made of. The resort and the spa both garnered Forbes Travel Guide’s top honors. With the Five Star Package, you’ll see why inspectors think so highly of the property through a five-night stay (for the price of four), a $500 resort credit (hello, Spa Botánico!), a five-course tasting menu for two at Mi Casa restaurant, daily breakfast, special turndown amenities and access to the resort’s activities program Ambassadors of the Environment.
While the hotel won’t reopen until October 2018 due to post-hurricane renovations, you can book any time before December 2018 for travel through December 2019.
The Savoy
As one of London’s fabled luxury hotels that dates back to the 19th century, The Savoy expertly maintains its Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating year after year. To celebrate its latest feat, the hotel is offering a chance to see what makes the grand dame such an iconic place.
The Forbes Five-Star Treatment at the Savoy package includes an overnight stay, breakfast, a chauffeured transfer and the famous Savoy Butler service (if booking a Deluxe Junior Partial River View Suite and above). It also includes a three-course dinner and wine at the hotel’s longtime restaurant, Simpson’s in the Strand, and a private master class for two (subjects range from cocktail making to time with a chocolatier).
Meadowood Napa Valley
Meadowood has the unique distinction of being one of only 13 hotels in the world awarded three Five-Stars: one for the hotel, another for the spa and one for the restaurant. The secluded St. Helena resort celebrates its status with the Forbes 15 Stars offer, which gives you a taste of each of the award winners.
It starts with a two-night stay in a room with a fireplace. You’ll also receive two 90-minute spa treatments, dinner for two at The Restaurant at Meadowood, breakfast each morning, a welcome bottle of sparkling wine and complimentary golf, tennis or croquet play.
Acqualina Resort & Spa
This elegant Five-Star resort nestled on a strip of sandy perfection between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale earned two Five-Stars this year — one for the hotel and another for its stunning spa. To mark the occasion, the resort debuted the Five Star Experience Package, a five-day stay brimming with premium perks like a special welcome amenity, daily breakfast for two at onsite Il Mulino New York, a 50-minute spa treatment, a bottle of champagne and much more. And to top it all off, the fifth night of your stay is on the house.
Baccarat Hotel and Residences
One of just two new Forbes Travel Guide Five-Stars in New York City, Baccarat has more than enough reason to celebrate these days. Thankfully, this French-inspired dazzler isn’t keeping the revelry in house; instead, it has decided to gift everyone with the Five Star Celebration, a package consisting of a $500 spa credit, champagne upon arrival and a Baccarat Zinzin keepsake when you stay at least five consecutive nights.
Balboa Bay Resort
If Orange County is calling your name, you’ll want to book the Celebrate Our Stars Forbes Experience at this waterside Four-Star resort. The Newport Beach hotel’s new promotion includes 10 percent off your room rate, a $50 food and beverage credit, valet parking and in-room champagne upon arrival. We suggest opting for a one-bedroom suite for its cozy fireplace, large soaking tub and patio with spectacular views of the bay.
Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas
This sophisticated Las Vegas stay is another triple-star threat. Book its Celebrate the Stars package to get a chance to experience all of its award winners. It starts with a special welcome amenity when you arrive into your Asian-inspired room with dazzling Strip views. You’ll also receive two unlimited passes to the Five-Star spa’s Tian Quan Thermal Experiences, a circuit that includes steam rooms, vitality pools, ice fountains, a large hot tub, tepidarium chairs overlooking the Strip and light- and sound-enhanced showers.
Cap it all off with a meal at the exquisite Five-Star Twist by Pierre Gagnaire, where you will be gifted with two complimentary glasses of Moët & Chandon.
