7 Escapes For An Adult Spring Break

Though it’s still decidedly wintry in much of the world, signs of spring are slowly starting to reveal themselves. That means it’s time to start planning a spring break trip, whether that means a reunion with friends or a romantic getaway with your favorite person. After all, why should the kids have all the fun?

      Barbados
If it’s a dreamy beach escape you’re craving, head to the islands and book a stay at Fairmont Royal Pavilion, Barbados, an 11-acre property situated on a mile of immaculate beach.

Each of the 75 rooms includes at least a partial Caribbean view, while some — like the Villas and the Signature Sea View Room — overlook tropical fauna leading into exceptional beach vistas.

The Suite Moments package includes luxurious accommodations steps away from the beach, breakfast for two with an ocean view and a complimentary cocktail. And the current special saves you up to half off the daily rate, which means you’ll have even more to spend on watersports, spa services and fine dining at executive chef Kirk Kirton’s two alfresco restaurants.

      Palo Alto
Guests of the chic The Clement Hotel can choose from two different, though equally exclusive, wine experiences with Thomas Fogarty Winery. One involves an intimate tour of the winery’s eight micro-vineyards, followed by a tasting of current releases and selections from the winery’s library.

The second option is a private tasting of seven to 10 wine selections with either owner Tom Fogarty Jr., winemaker Nathan Kandler or cellarmaster Marshal White.

Afterward, enjoy stunning panoramas of the San Francisco Bay from your perch in the Santa Cruz Mountains, glass of chardonnay in hand.

      Brazil
The weather is delightfully mild in the Southern Hemisphere right now, where summer is fading into autumn, so there’s no better time to save 10 percent on accommodations when you book the New Horizons package at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Belmond Hotel Das Cataratas. The breathtaking pink colonial estate is the only hotel inside Brazil’s Iguacu National Park, home of the majestic Iguassu Falls.

Since tourists must leave the park each day, hotel guests have the falls to themselves at dawn and dusk, and the concierge can arrange unparalleled experiences like rainforest safari adventures, rafting and helicopter rids over the falls. Afterward, relax with a rainforest scrub in the spa, followed by refined Brazilian-style cuisine paired with South American wine at Itaipu Restaurant.

      Bali
For a unique and sultry couples retreat, book a room at The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah, a luxury property located in the former residence of one of Indonesia’s most acclaimed art collectors. Twenty individual villas are nestled among 12 manicured acres in the tropical foothills of Bali, so incredible sunrise views of Mount Agung are to be expected.

The Romance in Style package includes two nights in a suite or pool villa along Ubud’s rice paddy fields, with unforgettable touches like a special cake, an aromatherapy floral bath upon your arrival, your own personal 24-hour butler, a 60-minute treatment in an open-air spa suite and a three-course dinner in your residence or the hotel’s restaurant, which is surrounded by lush greenery.

      Guatemala
If hiking the Mayan ruins in Guatemala is on your bucket list, cross it off in the most unforgettable way by staying in the heart of the jungle at Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel. In order to showcase its new full-service spa, the property has launched a Born to Be Well package, which consists of welcome drinks, daily breakfast, guided hiking tours to Tikal and Yaxhá, and one daily spa treatment per person.

Each of the 19 private bungalow suites includes a private deck with a Jacuzzi overlooking magnificent Quexil Lagoon, perfect for relaxing after a long day trekking about the ruins.

      Las Vegas
Experience the Strip like never before with a stay at the swanky, Art Deco–inspired Four-Star Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. Go on a showstopping helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon and return in time for dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak. Unwind in the opulent Presidential Strip-View Suite or marvel at the surrounding mountains of the Red Rock National Conservation from a Sunrise/Sunset Suite.

The Vegas Escape package offers 20 percent off room rates with a two-night minimum stay, while the Bed and Breakfast package ensures you’ll enjoy a full morning meal for two without leaving your sumptuous bed. As if there wasn’t enough incentive for your next booking, extend your two-day stay for a complimentary third night.

      Woodstock, Vermont
As the days start to get warmer, head to the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont, where the Woodstock Inn & Resort offers a charming bed and breakfast experience with all the amenities of a luxury resort. Connect with nature during the day by hiking, mountain biking or fly-fishing before lighting the wood-burning fireplace and turning in for the night with the one you love.

The Romance in Woodstock package comes with a chilled bottle of champagne delivered to your room, dinner for two, breakfast each morning and a token to remember your trip.
