It’s not too late to plan out an epic summer trip. Luxury hotels around the globe are helping with the preparations by offering seasonal promotions that cover just about every aspect of the trip besides the packing. From scoring tickets to alfresco mountainside concerts to setting up beach chairs and umbrellas, these spots have you covered this season better than your favorite sunscreen.
The St. Regis Deer Valley
What’s summer without an outdoor concert or two? And if you really want to do alfresco music right, get to a Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series show held at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star mountainside hotel is the event’s title sponsor and is located next to Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, where all the shows take place.
Snag tickets to see acts like Trace Adkins (August 25) and Jewel (September 3). The St. Regis has two Summer Concert Packages available — both include an overnight stay and two tickets to a concert.
Windsor Court Hotel
Summer in New Orleans is a whole lot sweeter if you’re staying in an elegant suite that’s surrounded by traditional English trappings and views of the Mighty Mississippi. But when you book the summertime package at this Four-Star gem in NOLA’s business district, that’s precisely what you’ll get.
The deal includes an automatic suite upgrade and a $50 credit that can be used toward food in the hotel’s restaurant and bars or at the sumptuous Four-Star spa. The package is available through September 22.
Mohegan Sun
It’s hard to imagine one place having more going on this season than Mohegan Sun, the mega entertainment and hospitality complex near Norwich, Connecticut. Every weekday something is planned, from Cash Days Tuesdays, when the resort gives away up to $120,000, to Boots-N-Brews Wednesdays (country bands play at one of three music venues).
Fridays are highlighted by a party on the Riverview Garage Rooftop, where you can sit around a firepit, play slots and listen to fun tribute bands. Close out the summer with some seriously good eats at the New England Food Truck Festival on September 3 and 4.
Dorchester Collection
Who doesn’t love a freebie? A tantalizing trio of Five-Star U.K. properties — The Dorchester, 45 Park Lane and Coworth Park — answers the rhetorical question with a seasonal promotion that grants you a complimentary fourth night after you’ve purchased three.
Use the extra time to catch a show in the West End, try a new restaurant by Hyde Park or simply relax near the pool at The Spa at Coworth Park. Just remember that rooms must be booked by August 28 for stays through September 4.
Viceroy Anguilla
Quick, before the kids head back to school, consider booking the Anguilla Family Fun package at this stunning Mediterranean-style resort. The offer comes with all sorts of perks that make traveling with little ones more of a joy: a family welcome amenity, a daily resort credit up to $300 and continental breakfast for two.
On top of all of that, the kiddos will have access to Generation V (children 4 to 11 do art projects, go on scavenger hunts and much more) while you enjoy a watersports shop, tennis courts, pools and a stunning spa.
Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa
This gorgeous Five-Star spot just outside of San Diego has figured out a way to keep kids from uttering the words “I’m bored” on trips again. Monday to Saturday, children ages 5 to 12 can join the Junior Ranchers Camp (through August 27), which will feature a whole host of summertime activities like scavenger hunts, relay races, water games and hiking adventures.
While the staffers keep little ones busy, chill at the gorgeous pool, take a class at the outdoor yoga pavilion or retreat to the luxurious Four-Star spa.
Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa
This Forbes Travel Guide Recommended resort on Florida’s Gulf Coast makes a last-minute beach getaway easy with Summer Sunny Days, a package (available through August 31) that includes daily breakfast for two at the onsite Sandcastle Restaurant and Lounge, ice cream for four at the Picnix Poolside Market and daily beach set-up (an umbrella and two beach chairs).
The gorgeous white-sand beach is a major draw but the property’s robust lineup of activities — think stand-up paddle boarding, beach volleyball and beach bonfires — is nearly as impressive.
