The St. Regis New York’s Presidential Suite: It looks like a grand Fifth Avenue apartment and feels even more luxurious, thanks to the Five-Star hotel’s 24-hour butler service and other high-end amenities, including a dining room mirror that transforms into a TV, a decorative antique fireplace, a full-service kitchen and a walnut-paneled library. The three-bedroom, four-and-half-bath, 3,430-square-foot space overlooks Central Park and Fifth Avenue.

Luxe fabrics and materials are at every turn, from the silk upholstered walls in the master bedroom to the honey onyx walls in the oversized bathroom.
The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park’s Royal Suite: The elegant décor and gracious service are great, but the amenities in the 1,980-square-foot suite are what impressed us most. Guests get a choice of custom-designed Pratesi sheets, linen and terry robes, Asprey and Cote Bastide bath products, access to The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge (hello, free food and snacks) and even a working telescope to zero in on Manhattan from the 22nd floor of the Five-Star hotel.
