Summer is already the perfect time to get away, but these hotels are sweetening the posh pot with added incentives that range from welcome fiestas and bottomless in-room bars, to private fishing trips and the most upscale California road trip you could imagine. It’s time to get booking while it’s still warm out and the living is easy.
The AKA, in partnership with Airstream 2 Go and designer Trina Turk, is offering its long-term guests exclusive access to the world’s first mobile suite. The AKA Mobile Suite is a customized Airstream designed with amenities such as luxurious linens and bathrobes, vivid Trina Turk accessories, Bvlgari bath products, a fully equipped kitchen and a flat-screen TV with a DVD player and curated movie list from the AKA Beverly Hills screening room.
Before the five-day journey, you receive a personal styling session at Trina Turk’s L.A. boutique so you can create outfits from her summer 2014 California Road Trip Collection before experiencing two nights of glamping at Sunstone Vineyards. The next two evenings will be spent at the Ocean Mesa Campground, where you can bask in beautiful views of the Pacific, and have the option of participating in botanical hikes, yoga, spa treatments, kayaking, surfing, whale watching and wine tasting on Santa Barbara’s Urban Wine Trail. Upon returning from your day of adventure, take advantage of the Airstream’s power awning, camping chairs, table and gas grill.

Maui’s only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel renovated the two largest suites in Hawaii to make them even more luxurious. The 5,000-square-foot, three-bedroom Maile (a Hawaiian plant used to make leis for royalty and VIPs) sits above Wailea Beach and boasts 180-degree views of the bright blue water. You’ll spy the same shade throughout the space along with earthy touches such as a floor-to-ceiling screen of colorful geodes that casts warm hues onto the buttery teak floors and grass cloth wall coverings that give off an island vibe. The suite also has a service kitchen, a fully integrated Sonos sound system and a sauna and dressing room adjacent to the master bedroom.
Facing the Pacific Ocean, the Lokelani suite’s best perk is outside: a 2,400-square-foot alfresco living area and 2,500-square-foot private lawn and garden complete with two fire pit lounges and a handcrafted pergola. Inside the 4,500-square-foot, three-bedroom Lokelani (“heavenly rose” in Hawaiian), pops of turquoise and orange stand out against white furnishings. If you aren’t outside, you’ll probably want to spend your time in the master bathroom’s decadent circular tub while the kids play in the game room.
Aside from the new interiors from BraytonHughes Design Studios, the beach hotel also amped up the suites’ amenities — and they are particularly good for families. Stay in either suite and you’ll receive Uber Black Car service from your home to the airport (and vice versa), a daily buffet breakfast in DUO restaurant or breakfast served via room service, laundry service throughout the stay, an in-suite dinner from a private chef, a Hawaiian-inspired or wellness-oriented spa treatment for each adult in the suite, a rental car (a luxury sedan or seven-passenger mini-van), overnight parking and a separate van for luggage on arrival and departure if needed.

The stunning Capella Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas just added five Suite Life themes to its already-luxurious accommodations. The two- and three-bedroom beachfront suites feature a dedicated butler, beach waiter service, a private pool and exclusive beach access from their patios, making them a great option for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. Of the five Suite Life packages, Suite Escapes speaks to the couple who just wants to unwind, sip a few drinks (margaritas and a bottle of tequila are included) and nosh on a three-course meal at the hotel’s Don Manuel’s restaurant. Suite Celebrations, on the other hand, is good for any romantic occasion, and that’s largely due to the private hotel transfer, in-suite chocolate, champagne, 90-minute massage and dinner on your own terrace.
The view suites boast two to four bedrooms, designer kitchens and enough space for a small reunion, making them perfect for vacationers who choose the Suite Family Connection. This deal features the convenience of complimentary access to the Tortuguitas Kids’ Club, breakfast for adults while the little ones are away, and a professional family photo shoot on the beach, along with tyke-friendly surprises such as a candy-filled piñata after dinner, s’mores by the bonfire and loads of board games.
The Suite Girls Getaway welcomes ladies with fresh ceviche, margaritas, chips and salsa. Each day begins with an oceanview yoga class, followed by an extravagant breakfast in the room or at the signature restaurant. Choose two 60-minute services from the spa menu, and spoil your taste buds with a freshly caught dinner at the cliffside El Farallón each night. The Suite Guys Getaway also starts with a fiesta, but a round of golf takes the place of yoga. A satisfying morning meal will fuel gents for a five-hour fishing trip on a 45-foot boat with a crew, tackle and plenty of local beer. After dinner, kick back for a poker night in the suite that comes stocked with tequila and cigars.
