Perched 45 feet above the crashing waves on Bali’s Kisik Beach is Rock Bar — a spectacular place to watch the sunset. There, you’ll find an extended metaphor of food and drinks that are served “on the rocks,” with tapas delivered on stone plates and cocktails poured into glasses suspended over natural stones. Getting to the bar is a fun journey in itself, since it’s only accessible by a cable car that traverses the cliff face. The bar’s timber-and-glass construction helps it blend into the surrounding rocks, and a nearby hidden cave leads toward a private beach garden.
