Some of our favorite hotels are hidden gems — small, intimate hideaways in unexpected locations. But what if that unexpected address was in an equally luxurious property? These hotels offer the best of the best — extra services, stunning views and the perks of a boutique hotel with all the extras of a larger resort.
Canyon Suites at the Phoenician
Just next door to the main building housing Scottsdale’s posh Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star The Phoenician sits the 20-room, 40-suite The Canyon Suites at The Phoenician, an enclave that takes desert pampering to a new level. This Five-Star resort-within-a-resort offers butlers (officially called Canyon Ambassadors) who are on call to a host of things from making dinner reservations to selecting the perfect welcome amenity. You’ll also enjoy a private Infiniti QX80 SUV house car for your use while in town. Rooms, which start at 600 square feet, are spacious, and many feature private terraces that overlook Camelback Mountain. Don’t miss the Hour of Joy, a private happy hour just for Canyon Suites guests.
Wynn Tower Suites at Wynn Las Vegas
The Four-Star Wynn Las Vegas is already among Sin City’s finest destinations — it features a Five-Star spa, The Spa at Wynn Las Vegas, a roster of renowned restaurants and its own private golf course. But Wynn Tower Suites, located within Wynn proper, is a unique Five-Star escape with private check-in and check-out, a dedicated elevator bank and lounge. Additional perks include complimentary breakfast at Tableau and access to a private pool just for Tower Suites guests. Tip: Ask for the hotel’s special mini hairspray bottles, if you aren’t provided one at turndown. We love how well this product works, and it’s non-aerosol, so you can even put it in a carry-on post stay.
Flagler Club at The Breakers Palm Beach
Recently opened after a $5 million upgrade, this 25-room boutique hotel within posh Four-Star The Breakers Palm Beach is perfect for guests craving a more intimate experience. Located on the hotel’s top two floors, guests of the Flagler Club bask in premier views, a private club lounge and terrace with daily menu items and cocktails. Other personalized touches consist of chauffeured local airport transfers, a house car and in-room amenities like Jo Malone bath products.
ARIA Sky Suites and Tower Suites at ARIA Resort & Casino
Las Vegas’ Four-Star ARIA Resort & Casino is already a VIP escape. But its new Tower Suites are a whole extra level of luxury. Starting at 1,000 square feet, these rooms feature a special pre-arrival concierge to arrange show tickets, spa reservations, round-trip limo service to and from the airport, a private check-in lounge and just about anything else you could imagine. But these plush extras aren’t anything new; the Five-Star ARIA Sky Suites have been wooing discerning travelers for years with private lounges, complimentary wine and massive rooms.
Club Level Suites at Inn on Fifth and Club Level Suites
Sun and sand lovers already know that Naples is an ideal place to spend a winter, but luxury seekers may not yet have discovered the posh Four-Star Inn on Fifth and Club Level Suites. Located in the heart of downtown, along the city’s main shopping hub, there’s much to love about the hotel. But our favorite part are the new Club Level Suites, which feature a private rooftop, concierge lounge with daily menu presentations, complimentary airport transportation, a Cadillac Escalade at your beck and call, as well as spacious rooms (starting at over 500 square feet) in a building directly across the street from the main inn.
Sky Tower at Solaire Resort & Casino
This Philippines resort already offers luxuriousness aplenty. Stay within the 312-suite Sky Tower, though, and enjoy added benefits like VIP gaming areas, a Chinese restaurant (House of Zhou), Macallan Whisky Bar and a theater. Bustling Manila boasts a large number of business travelers (the Sky Tower’s dedicated meeting rooms are perfect for small pow-wows, by the way) but is also popular with luxury shoppers. Speaking of which, a shuttle leaves from the resort for nearby SM Mall of Asia, one of the five largest malls in the world, every 15 minutes.
