We recently returned from charming Lake Geneva, Wis., where we visited Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. While we stayed at the 1,300-acre resort for its two golf courses, hiking and horseback-riding trails and 18 ski slopes, travelers used to come to mingle with Playboy bunnies. The Grand Geneva actually opened in 1968 as The Lake Geneva Playboy Club Hotel. Yep, flash back 44 years and you’d find Hugh Hefner and about 60 women donning the iconic Playboy bunny uniforms and strolling the resort’s campus. Even though the architecture, hotel layout and recreational activities remain the same — excluding those wild Playboy parties — the style has been updated and every room has been renovated. The photo above is a close-up of the lodge’s ground-floor mural, an oil painting of the entire hotel. If you look closely at this section of the mural, you can spot a hidden Playboy bunny. Can you find it?
