Luxe Turkish Hotel Opens In Grand Fashion
By Forbes Travel Guide Editor Hayley Bosch

Though you’ve been able to check into the new Marti Istanbul Hotel since its soft opening in July, the hotel’s January 7 grand opening will unveil a top-floor spa and onsite gourmet shop. And like the rest of the 270-room, Zeynep Fadillioglu-designed hotel, these new amenities will flaunt a distinctly Turkish flavor in the heart of Istanbul.

The 8,600-square-foot spa features four hammams — it’s Turkey after all — three saunas and two steam rooms. And that’s just in the locker rooms. You’ll also find three couples’ massage rooms and two single massage rooms in the spa, as well as a facial treatment room and a nail salon. Don’t forget the vitamin bar and the glass-enclosed gym that’ll help you beat that jet lag.

As for the onsite gourmet shop, Gourmet Stop — which you’ll enjoy after your workout and hammam session, of course — it offers delectable treats ranging from organic bread to macarons in a variety of flavors. This little stop will appeal to locals and hotel guests alike with its take-away options and special baskets. From the soup of the day to udon noodles with tofu and egg, you really can’t beat its offerings — especially when it’s situated within your hotel.

About Forbes Travel Guide Editor Hayley Bosch

Majoring in French and Italian in college yielded some of the best food (in my own humble opinion) and vacations (everyone wants to travel with someone who’s fluent) that I could imagine. And as a Content Editor at Forbes Travel Guide, I’m able to focus on my passion for traveling and eating — with a refined palate, of course. I love to write about my adventures; it’s a way of telling my story. I seek out everything from marathons in cities I’ve never explored to restaurants off the beaten path. When I’m not eating my way through my world travels, I’m chatting with our Tastemakers to help tell their stories of travel, food and business.
