      Make This Hotel’s Mouthwatering Churros
By Forbes Travel Guide Editor Jennifer Kester

At Nobu Hotel Los Cabos’ Pacific Restaurant, one of the guest favorites on the Mexican fusion menu is the churros. Made à la minute, the fried dough tubes offer a light, delicate bite to finish the meal. And the crispy pastry comes with rich chocolate and caramel dipping sauces for an extra indulgence.

Nobu, the brand’s first hotel in the country, is sharing its traditional Mexican recipe to help change up your at-home dessert repertoire. Churros are surprisingly easy to make, and even better, you likely have all of the ingredients on hand in your pantry and fridge. You will want to whip these up tonight.

      Ingredients

      2⅓ cups flour
      2 cups whole milk
      2 cups water
      2.5 tablespoons sugar
      Salt to taste
      1 stick butter
      3 free-range eggs
1½ cups vegetable or canola oil

      Instructions

Start with boiling the milk, water, sugar and salt in a saucepan.

Add the flour until a dough is formed, then remove from heat.

Add the eggs one at a time until completely mixed, and cool for 10 minutes.

Heat oil in a frying pan or skillet over medium-high heat.

Spoon dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip (you also can make a piping bag from parchment paper), and pipe 1-inch strips of dough into the frying pan.

Fry until golden brown, and let cool on a paper towel.

Drizzle your choice of caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, condensed milk, or even coat with sugar and cinnamon, and enjoy.
