Forbes Travel Guide unveiled its 2017 Star Awards today, posting the largest group of winners in the company’s history. The 59th annual list includes 62 Five-Star restaurants, 176 Four-Star restaurants and 73 Recommended restaurants. Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong took home the coveted Five-Star for four of its restaurants, including first-time recipient Man Wah. Wynn Macau matched the impressive feat with four of its own establishments garnering Five-Star honors, most notably Mizumi at Wynn Macau’s debut nod.
The list of Four-Star restaurants also dazzles this year. Of the tasty tally, 13 are new establishments to the ensemble, including Sedona’s Cress Restaurant on Oak Creek; Baltimore’s Magdalena; Charlotte’s Gallery Restaurant; Shanghai’s Tang Court; and Spago Singapore.
The roster of exceptional eateries only continues with the Recommended entries. Highlights in the category are the 12 new members: Washington, D.C.’s Westend Bistro; Atlanta’s Atlas Buckhead; Chicago’s Acadia; Edgartown, Massachusetts’ The Terrace at The Charlotte Inn; Birmingham, Michigan’s The Rugby Grille; Biloxi’s Jia; New York City’s Little Park; Beijing’s Bistrot B; Hong Kong’s Inagiku Grande Japanese Restaurant at IFC and One Harbour Road; and Macau’s Kira and Yamazato Macau.
