      3 Singapore Spas For Revitalization

With quaint shops offering massages and facials on every street corner, Singapore reigns supreme as Asia’s unofficial spa capital. Quality is king in the Lion City, and standards remain high as the competition heats up.

Even so, there are some spas that stand out from the rest. These are some of the must-try spots for tingle-inducing treatments in Singapore.

So much more than just a spa, this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Sentosa Island spot is also a holistic health center. The treatments are even based around the phases of the moon, so you will receive your therapy according to the lunar cycle and you’ll feel the benefit of your galactically guided service long after you’ve left the facility.

Apart from the lunar-based body wraps, massages and exfoliation options, the spa provides an array of traditional treatments, including shiatsu and Thai massages and organic facials that leave you looking younger than when you came in — a less expensive and more pleasant alternative to a facelift.

If you’re just looking to chill out, opt for the 90-minute Senja Sunyi massage. Available as an individual treatment or as part of a couple’s package, this top-to-toe, long-stroke rubdown would put even the most stressed out among us to sleep, if the rambling green grounds of Five-Star Capella Singapore didn’t do that for you already.

The spoils can continue long after you’ve returned home with a quick visit to the spa’s boutique. Auriga is the only spa in Singapore to utilize and sell products from The Organic Pharmacy, a holistic line of skincare using pharmaceutical-grade herbal extracts and hard-to-source organic supplements.

As you might expect from a spa in Chinatown, this Mosque Street facility’s décor is Chinois-chic, the staff is dressed in silk uniforms and the treatments are in the Eastern tradition.

The spa specializes in maternity and post-natal massages, using blended jamu warming oil from Chinese herbs (to aid in recuperation and weight loss after giving birth) and other beauty solutions for moms-to-be.

Huang Ah Ma is also known for its excellent Royal Foot Massage — 60 minutes of heaven for tired soles.

But the best thing about this spot is its hours. This is one of the better spas that is open until midnight, making it a lifesaver if you’re flying in late, working overtime or simply in need of a massage before bed.

One of Singapore’s most prestigious sanctuaries, this exclusive Five-Star retreat is a modern six-room escape that’s just the place to while the day away in luxury — friends or couples can enjoy social pampering in spacious spa suites equipped with a Jacuzzi and plush sofas.

As you wait for your therapist to whisk you away, feel the serenity of the dimly lit relaxation lounge with its soothing music, massage chairs, healthy snacks and hot tea.

Indulgence is the name of the game at this intimate spa with treatments ranging from the Caviar Signature Facial and nearly-three-hour Fragrant Pearl experience to the romantic Oriental Escape for Two. The latter is a blissful half-day journey that includes an array of therapies, beginning with a relaxing and cleansing Welcome Foot Ritual and followed by a Mandarin Oriental Signature Spa Therapy (a revitalizing eye service and an aromatherapy facial) especially customized for you.

No matter which tantalizing choice you make, be sure to allow yourself time to make use of the Singapore spa’s experience showers, the sleek infinity pool overlooking Marina Bay and the many other indulgences.
