The Roof Lounge at Park Hyatt Toronto
Classic and established, the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Park Hyatt Toronto boasts one of the most legendary rooftop bars in the city: the Roof Lounge. Perched on the 18th floor of the hotel, the southward view overlooks the stunning Royal Ontario Museum and the city’s skyline.
Though the Roof boasts visitors such as former Canadian prime minister Pierre Trudeau, John Wayne, Pierce Brosnan and Christopher Plummer, it’s the cocktails — from classic martinis to seasonal sippers — here that are the real star.

Opened in 2016, a hop and skip away from Thompson Toronto, Lavelle’s massive rooftop patio is open day and night, and comes complete with a pool and cabanas 16 stories above the city. Throw in a garden, DJ and poolside bottle service of Dom for a Vegas-style party at the center of the King West nightlife.

The Flight Deck at The Pilot
Yorkville is Toronto’s eminent place to see and be seen from the plethora of patios dotting the chic neighborhood that also includes the elegant Five-Star Four Seasons Hotel Toronto.
While Hemingway’s is the classic and Kasa Moto is as chic as it gets, head to The Pilot for a low-key drink or fish tacos on the relaxed restaurant’s rooftop patio, aptly named The Flight Deck.
The varied list of local craft beer on tap and selection of imports and ciders by the bottle make it a lounge-worthy watering hole.

Drake Sky Yard
Over in Toronto’s west end, The Drake Hotel is about all things artsy and indie, like the West Queen West neighborhood in which it resides. Every year, the Drake Sky Yard rooftop patio reinvents itself and this year is no different. The 2017 theme is a treetop oasis inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of Canada, which explains why works by local artist Gillian Goerz fill the space.
Weekends are the highlight here, when you can enjoy Sky Yard Sundays with brunch, live DJs and easy vibes.
Linger a little longer with Seafood Sundays, a family-style dinner extravaganza that reels you in with lobster and other maritime delights for $35 per person. Don’t miss out on the tableside craft cocktail service during your meal, too.
