Our “Friday Travel Photo” comes from Forbes Travel Guide member (and avid traveler) Lisa Cohen of Los Angeles. Here, she explains her shot: I snapped this photo during a sunrise hike at Arkaba Station, a five-bedroom luxury homestead from the 1850s in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia (one of the continent’s most-ancient landscapes). That’s Kat, our Aussie guide, who helped us spot the wildlife at dawn. The light and the silence in this moment were memorizing and awe-inspiring. You could just stand here and stare at the changing colors of the ranges, and 800 million years of Earth’s existence stares right back at you.
