We were drawn to Hilton Head on a recent trip for its beach, but Inn at Harbour Town’s yacht basin was a good spot to visit when the sun went down. Aside from the cluster of nearby shops and restaurants, we enjoyed sitting outside in the big red wooden rocking chairs and gazing at the boats in the marina, the calm waters of the Calibogue Sound and the distinctive Harbour Town Lighthouse. Built in 1970, the red-and-white-striped lighthouse has become synonymous with the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel and all of Hilton Head. What made our night even better was the soft guitar music that filled the air from a musician performing along the marina.
