For today’s “Friday Travel Photo,” Forbes Travel Guide graphic designer Beth Sadowski shares her family vacation. Here, she explains her snapshot: My family traveled to Europe in honor of my dad’s 60th birthday. The trip was meant to celebrate his love of beer — we hit up Oktoberfest in Munich — and commemorate the summer he spent in Europe after graduating from college. He’s always been a photography enthusiast, so we ventured up to Hohensalzburg Fortress via tram so he could replicate the images he took of the view in 1971. As children, we had sat through many slideshows of his European adventure and the pictures from the fortress were some of our favorites. It was a great treat to stand in the same spot he had over 30 years ago and see that time had virtually stood still.
