In a city — and neighborhood — known for endless gastronomic opportunities, Trump SoHo New York is giving you a new reason to dine in with tomorrow’s opening of Koi SoHo in the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel. If Koi’s sister restaurants are any indication, there’s a lot to love. Crispy rice with spicy tuna comes to mind.
Koi SoHo is the restaurant’s second New York outpost, and fifth worldwide, but like every good downtown denizen, it’s aiming for unique; alongside executive chef Robb Lucas’ already-famous deconstructed Japanese fare, expect to see dishes exclusive to the Trump SoHo New York location. These only-on-Spring-Street menu items include pan-seared scallops on a crab cake and roasted shishito peppers stuffed with shrimp.
Where there’s a Koi dish, there’s a celebrity, so we’ll forgive you for ogling things other than the décor, but rest assured this space is designed to deliver an earthy oasis in the city. Just ask the movie star sitting next to you.
The best news about the new Koi SoHo (celebs and crispy rice aside) may be that it’s serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, so you can get a knockout meal early in the day or as late as 11:30 p.m. on weekends.
Fitting for the city that never sleeps but always eats.
