Acclaimed chef Lidia Bastianich teams with Andreas Grossbauer, the first violinist and concertmaster at the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, for Philharmonic Taste – An Austrian Tasting for Ears & Palate. The duo combines its culinary and classical music talents at New York’s Del Posto on March 4 at 7 p.m.
Chef Bastianich will prepare a seven-course dinner of Austrian and Italian influences with selections of Austrian wine, chosen to perfectly complement each dish, from the country’s top vineyards. Accompanying the meal at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant will be Grossbauer, leading a string quartet from the Vienna Philharmonic during dinner for a truly magical evening of wine, music and cuisine celebrating Austria’s cultural heritage and culinary accomplishments.
A unique event made possible by the gracious donation of the Austrian Trade Commission and the Austrian Wine Marketing Board, the Taste’s all-inclusive tickets are $425 per person and can be purchased here.
