Star Chef’s Pub To Heat Up Jackson Hole Resort
By Forbes Travel Guide Editor Hayley Bosch

      December 12, 2012

With ski season in full swing, add another après-ski hot spot to your list; The Handle Bar at Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole opens its doors on Dec. 17. Located on the third floor of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel, the American pub and beer hall will serve up classic bar food with a dynamic spin — think Korean barbecue salmon burger with cucumber kimchi and charred Fresno peppers, and Rocky Mountain elk chili.

It’s Michael Mina’s first restaurant in the glitzy ski town, but with a menu focusing on game and local ingredients, we’re sure it will be well received. Whether you’re looking to warm up after a day of shredding Jackson Hole Mountain or fueling up for a snowmobile trip through Yellowstone, a meal at The Handle Bar will surely do the trick.

And when you’ve thawed out, indulge in the après-ski scene with the pub’s wide selection of beer (both American and international), whiskey and wine. Pair that with provisions like Snake River Brewery beer-battered onion rings — dipped in “baconaise,” of course — and you’ve got yourself quite the happy hour.

The Jackson Hole restaurant will also churn out hot toddies and a selection of adult milkshakes.

About Forbes Travel Guide Editor Hayley Bosch

Majoring in French and Italian in college yielded some of the best food (in my own humble opinion) and vacations (everyone wants to travel with someone who’s fluent) that I could imagine. And as a Content Editor at Forbes Travel Guide, I’m able to focus on my passion for traveling and eating — with a refined palate, of course. I love to write about my adventures; it’s a way of telling my story. I seek out everything from marathons in cities I’ve never explored to restaurants off the beaten path. When I’m not eating my way through my world travels, I’m chatting with our Tastemakers to help tell their stories of travel, food and business.
