The St. Regis Bal Harbour’s Newest Shopping Buddy

Gone are the days of scrambling at the last minute to find the perfect cover-up or sleek suit before heading out on vacation. Instead, imagine walking into your hotel room after a long flight to find a closet filled with designer labels and the latest fashions. The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and Residences is teaming with luxe retailer Neiman Marcus to stock your closet, so you’ll have plenty of Miami-worthy outfits at your fingertips the moment you check in. When you book the Neiman Marcus Closet service, you’ll fill out a questionnaire — Who is your style icon? Do you like to take fashion risks? What’s your favorite feature? — hand over your standard sizes to the expert shoppers, and by the time you arrive, your walk-in closet will be full of beautifully presented clothing, shoes and accessories.

Once you’ve tried on everything in the privacy of your spacious guest room, you have the option to instantly purchase the pieces you love (and immediately expand your wardrobe) or return the items via the help of your personal St. Regis butler. Though you’re not obligated to buy anything, playing dress up with designer labels — think Michael Kors, Alexander McQueen and Christian Louboutin — is always fun. Just remember that you can’t “borrow” items just for your stay (you’ll sign an agreement about that when you book the service). If you simply can’t make up your mind about which items you want to acquire, rest assured that you have three days to make your selections. And if you want to peruse the racks yourself, Neiman’s and the rest of the equally glamorous Bal Harbour Shops —Armani, Versace and a recently redesigned Chanel — are located just across the street from the lavish hotel.

About Forbes Travel Guide Editor Hayley Bosch

Majoring in French and Italian in college yielded some of the best food (in my own humble opinion) and vacations (everyone wants to travel with someone who’s fluent) that I could imagine. And as a Content Editor at Forbes Travel Guide, I’m able to focus on my passion for traveling and eating — with a refined palate, of course. I love to write about my adventures; it’s a way of telling my story. I seek out everything from marathons in cities I’ve never explored to restaurants off the beaten path. When I’m not eating my way through my world travels, I’m chatting with our Tastemakers to help tell their stories of travel, food and business.
