When car enthusiasts discuss automobile manufacturers that embrace tastefulness as much as they do torque, few companies come to mind before Bentley. Likewise, when affluent travelers think of hotels that brilliantly mesh opulence with outstanding service, not many places are mentioned before the St. Regis. It makes sense then that the two industry-pacing brands would collaborate for the “En Route to Excellence” aficionado package, a signature experience in San Francisco that truly kicks luxuriousness into high gear.
Available through the end of 2013, “En Route” includes a one-night suite stay at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star The St. Regis San Francisco, breakfast at renowned on-site restaurant Vitrine, a fancy Bentley key ring and unlimited use of the luxe vehicle. There are three cars in St. Regis’ impressive fleet — Bentley GT, Bentley GTC and the Bentley Mulsanne — and any one of them will turn its share of heads as you sightsee down Kearny Street by yourself or have a chauffeur drop you and a guest off at Bar Agricole for drinks.
And if all of that didn’t get you gassed up, guests who purchase the $2,350 nightly package are still privy to the St. Regis’ other outstanding amenities — 24-hour concierge and access to the hotel’s signature butler service — during their stay. But who are we kidding? The real draw to “En Route to Excellence” isn’t St. Regis’ thoughtful turndown service; it’s getting that first-hand experience to what the 505-horsepowered Mulsanne feels like on the open road.
