If chocolate and flowers aren’t going to cut it this Valentine’s Day, head to one of these romantic hotels. You and your valentine will fall in love with their gorgeous backdrops, luxe amenities and intimate vibe.

      Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur
You’ll feel like the only two people in the world in one of Post Ranch Inn’s suspended tree houses overlooking the Pacific. The sumptuous Big Sur accommodations embrace wood-burning fireplaces, soaking tubs and glass-walled rooms that make you feel like you could float away. But you won’t find any TVs — the focus will be solely on each other. Sierra Mar restaurant offers top-notch California cuisine and a deep wine list, and if you’re looking for different ways to connect, the snug, rustic spa offers treatments such as reiki, drum therapy and shaman sessions alongside massages, facials and body wraps. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel’s romance package includes accommodations for three nights, a four-course dinner for two at Sierra Mar, one-hour spa treatments, daily breakfast and a bottle of bubbly with crystal flutes to keep as a reminder of your quixotic stay. Package starts at $3,292.

      Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong
Hong Kong doesn’t usually top lists of romantic cities, but it should. With its incredible restaurants and spas, it easily rivals starry-eyed spots like Paris and New York. Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong oozes colonial charm and is home to one of the city’s best spas and numerous fantastic restaurants. A number of said restaurants are serving special menus for V-Day, including the hidden-away Krug Room, where the molecular cuisine is paired with Krug varieties. The Five-Star hotel’s opulent spa is also offering an essential rose facial and a chocolate-and-rose pedicure. Book the Golden Celebration package to take advantage of breakfast each morning, a bottle of champagne and a $50 spa credit. Package starts at HK$4,199/US$541.

      One&Only Ocean Club, Bahamas
For a beach getaway, consider stealing away to the Bahamas for a stay at One&Only Ocean Club. One&Only is all about exclusivity (O&O guests have access to neighboring Atlantis, but not the other way around). Besides a quiet stretch of white sandy beach and amazing gardens, the resort is offering a couple of romantic packages to seal the deal. The Winter Retreat lets you stay for seven nights when you pay for five, and it includes daily breakfast. Or, stay four or more nights and receive a $300 food and beverage credit per room as part of the Dining in Paradise package. Restaurant options include Dune, Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s first Caribbean eatery. Packages start at $825 a night.

The St. Regis Princeville Resort, Kauai
There’s a reason Hawaii is such a popular honeymoon destination. Clichéd as some spots may be, there’s a glorious beach, an amazing waterfall and a stack of pineapple pancakes with a rich cup of Kona coffee just around the bend. The north shore of Kauai is often described as Eden, and with its cliff-top perch overlooking Hanalei Bay and super-luxurious rooms, The St. Regis Princeville Resort is the place to stay within the island paradise. As part of the Luxury Romance package, book a minimum of two nights and get a daily breakfast for two, a bottle of champagne and freshly cut flowers upon arrival. Package starts at $605 a night.
