When you’re not busy shredding snow on the slopes at Aspen Mountain, take a break — a champagne break. Beginning Presidents’ Day Weekend (February 16-18), Veuve Clicquot will reopen its popular pop-up bar, The Oasis, operated by Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel The Little Nell.
Each Friday through Sunday until the end of spring ski season, the champagne bar will serve flutes of snow-chilled champagne (including Veuve’s Rosé, Brut and La Grande Dame) along with tasty bites such as Boulder Canyon potato chips and California Caviar.
The catch? Its location changes every weekend and is kept under wraps unless you follow The Little Nell on Twitter or Facebook. The social media accounts will reveal clues each weekend so guests can find the bar, which is decked out with Veuve’s famous yellow hue, umbrellas, ski-up chairs, a solar-powered sound system and plenty of bubbly. Note: To assure adequate mobile service when you’re some 11,000 feet high, a cell phone repeater at the top of Aspen Mountain was installed last year.
