Larger-than-life attractions dominated our @ForbesTravelGuide Instagram feed last month.
The hit film Crazy Rich Asians no doubt was a factor in Marina Bay Sands surging in popularity among our followers (the film had a key scene shot there) — the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel’s 500-foot-long, vertiginous infinity-edged pool seems precariously perched on the 57th floor atop three towers.
Another feed favorite was the new Golden Bridge in Vietnam’s Ba Na Hills, where giant stone hands hold up an Instagram-worthy walkway.
But the top spot goes to the 112-foot-tall Tian Tan Buddha, brilliantly captured by Christina Tan, whose handle is @SassyChris1. It took 12 years to build the bronze statute at Hong Kong’s Po Lin Monastery.
Scroll down to see the big Buddha and the other oversized sights, and be sure to follow us at @ForbesTravelGuide for more travel inspiration.
