Our “Friday Travel Photo” comes from Nori Evoy of Anguilla’s East End. In January, Evoy took a day trip to Anguilla’s Shoal Bay Beach, a sandy stretch with turquoise waters. She explains her shot: “On this particular winter day, the ocean was a little rough, seas surging ever so slightly. Conditions were ideal for wave-seeking. My sister and I ventured into the ocean to body surf on the ones farther out. Our friends remained shorebound, skim boarding the break. I snapped this photo in between sets. To me, this photo has an essence of adventure and isolation, too, something one can only feel when humbled by Anguilla’s expansive beauty, the never-ending sand, sea and sky.”
