Whether the setting for your trip is a pristine palm-dotted beach with aquamarine waters; a steep, snow-covered mountain; or a legendary landmark that gleams at night, a dazzling locale can make your hotel stay.

A hotel with a view provides a sense of place, a memorable experience and a lot of material for your Instagram feed.

We found hotels everywhere from Anguilla to Zurich with vistas that are so beautiful, you won’t want to stray from the property’s grounds. Take a peek at these scenic stunners:

      Brunelleschi Hotel

Nestled inside a former medieval church and Byzantine tower, this Florentine gem exudes history. Two accommodations in particular feature unforgettable views: In the Pool Suite, soak in an outdoor whirlpool or enjoy a patio breakfast in the shadow of the Florence Cathedral and Giotto’s Bell Tower, and in the Pagliazza Tower Suite, the Duomo is just outside your window.

The one-of-a-kind, open-air accommodations at this St. Lucia respite only have three walls, which puts you even closer to the majestic Pitons looming nearby. Hidden along a cliff that soars above the Caribbean Sea, the resort offers staggering sights.

The Tokyo Tower hovers next to The Prince Park. Get an up-close look at the red-and-white landmark in the hotel’s Sky Lobby — sit near the window or in a tiered seat near the bar to see its glow at night.

      Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Witness the Strip roar to life from this non-gaming, 47-story oasis. Sleek rooms come with floor-to-ceiling windows that reveal the bright lights of Vegas nights and the surrounding desert landscape. The views are even better if you can snag a room with a window-facing tub.

A cliffside perch and an amphitheatrical design give this boutique hotel incredible vistas everywhere from the suites to the alfresco restaurants. Gaze at the vast sea and the rocky caldera at sunrise — preferably with a Greek breakfast — and then again at sunset — preferably with local wine — when the swirling colors bounce on the water.

      Mandarin Oriental, New York

Glimpse Central Park, the skyline and the Hudson River from this Columbus Circle tower. One of our favorite panoramas is from the 35th-floor MO Lounge, where you can sip an MO Fashioned (made with lapsang-souchong-tea-infused Knob Creek) and gaze out over the park’s treetops.

This island paradise affords spectacular views at every turn, especially at Blu Beach Club, which overlooks a 1.2-mile lagoon that seemingly melts into the azure skies. Whether heading to the club’s decks, fiber-optic-lit “constellation” pool or treetop restaurant, you’ll get an eyeful.

Towering red rocks surround this Sedona escape. Reserve a recently renovated Pool Suite and take in Boynton Canyon, one of Arizona’s most picturesque box canyons, from your private pool, patio with a cozy fireplace or one of the viewing decks.

Behold postcard-worthy turquoise waters from the Bora Bora haven’s two-bedroom villa. It looks out over the beach and lagoon from the enticing private pool. Or opt for an aerial lagoon view from Te Manu Bar’s treetop seating.

Tucked among Utah’s Wasatch Mountains, the sprawling 3,500-acre ranch lets the peaks steal the spotlight. They shine from places like the yurt, pergola, on-property High West Whiskey Distillery terrace (complete with Adirondack chairs) and Sky Suites and Rooms.

Sitting atop a 118-story skyscraper, the Five-Star hotel delivers knockout panoramas of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island’s skyline from every room. We are partial to the Deluxe Victoria Harbour Suite for its walls of windows that overlook the water and the city.

While all 80 accommodations at this newly renovated British Virgin Islands hideaway have unobstructed ocean scenery, the most impressive vantage point is from the One-Bedroom Pool Suites. Soak up a mesmerizing panorama from the elevated standalone tub in the Royal Etihad Suite. A window wall puts the city and Gulf on full display in the stone-filled bathroom. Bonus: Gape at 360-degree views from the hotel’s 74th-floor Observation Deck at 300.

In the summer, get the same Iron Lady vistas at the summer rooftop lounge Bar à ciel ouvert.

      Okada Manila

Experience sweeping 180-degree views of Manila Bay from Okada’s aptly named Manila Bay Suite. While you’ll keep busy with the two-bedroom suite’s massage room, entertainment room and bathroom jetted tubs, the warm hues of the sunset demand you stop and peer out the oversized windows.
