There’s no denying that Los Angeles is a celebrity playground. Regardless of whether you call L.A. home or not, there’s always a spark of excitement whenever you spot someone famous. If you want to dine out and get a glimpse of a star, these restaurants sit atop the marquee.
West Hollywood is home to many celebs, and there are several restaurants that they gravitate to more than others. Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood is frequented by stars like Sophia Bush, Mena Suvari, Nikki Reed and Khloe Kardashian. While the namesake chef no longer helms the restaurant, it’s still popular for its American-Asian fusion small plates.
Another well-known restaurant lives at Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard — Ceccioni’s West Hollywood. It’s unusual to visit the classic Italian spot without running into someone famous. You have a very good chance of seeing people like Vera Wang, Ellen DeGeneres, Drake, Dan Aykroyd and George Lucas. Best of all, the food is outstanding.
If you want a true Hollywood scene, make reservations at Sur Lounge. Owned by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump and her husband, Kenneth Todd, Sur (and the drama of its scantily clad servers) is the backdrop for a new reality-TV show, Vanderpump Rules. Vanderpump designed the interior to be subtly sexy, and the food presents an arousing blend of Mediterranean flavors. While Vanderpump’s fellow Housewives co-stars Camille Grammer and Kyle Richards have dined at Sur, celebs such as Gerard Butler, Rebecca Romijn and Christina Milian also are fans.
BOA Steakhouse is among Tinseltown’s renowned see-and-be-seen stops. Almost every A- and B-lister has been spotted here at one time or another. On top of that, the colorful restaurant’s food won’t disappoint. Just ask Barry Bonds, Kelsey Grammer, Prison Break’s Amaury Nolasco and all the other stars who adore BOA’s surf-and-turf menu.
